Aladdin

Aladdin, written with bookwriters Charlie Hartill, Russell Labey and Claire Taylor, is a reworking of the traditional story for the computer age with a pop-influenced score. It was commissioned by and originally produced at the Pleasance Theatre in London, where it starred Nigel Planer as the “Virtual Genie” alongside a cast including Joseph Connell, Gloria Onitiri and Christopher Howell.

Several of the show’s songs have gone on to be performed, recorded and released by leading musical theatre artists including Danny Colligan, Mark Evans, Kevin Koehler, Jon Lee and Susan McFadden.
