Alexander S. Bermange in performance

For over a decade, Alexander S. Bermange's performances of his comic songs have been enjoyed by millions of listeners to BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service. His many witty ditties for the programmes Broadcasting HouseWeekend and The World Today on these stations - and additional performances on BBC London 94.9, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Three Counties Radio - have tackled a range of news stories and headline-making personalities.

His live performances - which he adapts so as to cater for all types of audiences - combine topical and specially-written material with more timeless comedic numbers on themes drawn from everyday life, interspersed with anecdotes providing an insight into the inspiration for the songs.

He has given numerous performances at the St James Theatre and The Pheasantry; made special guest appearances at The Crazy Coqs, Lauderdale House, and the Theatre Royal Winchester; and additionally performed his solo show at private events for The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, Cumberland Lodge, Lutyens and the United Synagogue.

23 of Alexander’s comic songs have been released on a double album entitled Wit & Whimsy, featuring 23 popular personalities and West End stars, which reached no.1 in iTunes’s comedy album charts, and the release of which was celebrated with a live show at The Hippodrome in London’s West End.
